TRI-TECH ENGINEERING REBRANDS WITH CRAWFISH BOIL
Tri-Tech Engineering
Things are cooking - literally - over at Tri-Tech, located at 10401 Westoffice Drive. The long-time Westchase District business recently underwent a "reverse merger," with BEC-LIN Engineering and has consolidated its brand between Tri-Tech Surveying Company, LP and Tri-Tech Engineering, LP. Together as one brand, Tri-Tech provides turnkey services that include civil and structural engineering, surveying and land planning.

A presence in the District since 2006, the company has grown from a dozen employees to about 100, with a second location in San Marcos, Texas. Tri-Tech celebrated its rebranding with a crawfish boil last week.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY TO WHOLE FOODS MARKET
Tim Johnson and Miranda Schwartz
WDCF chair Tim Johnson and store manager Miranda Schwartz celebrate Whole Foods' first year in the Westchase Shopping Center..
There was no smashing of cake in a high chair, but members of the community turned out last week to celebrate the one-year birthday of Whole Foods Market at its (relatively) new location at 11041 Westheimer Road. Giveaways, guest speakers and good times were on the agenda - there was even yummy cake, though served politely.

What's next? Whole Foods will host a community giving day on Wednesday, Sept. 20. All day long, the grocer will donate five percent of sales to the Westchase District Community Fund. So mark your calendars to stock up at Whole Foods on Sept. 20!
