Sourcing excellent decafs is one of the most difficult things we do. When people think about decaffeinated coffee, most likely they think about weak, no flavor coffee. Well, that's where we come in! When people drink our decaf, the comment we hear most often is "Wow, is that really decaf? It taste like regular coffee!"
This Mexico decaf happens to be fair trade, organic and is decaffeinated with a mountain water process. In the cup, this is classic Mexican. Smooth, and balanced with a full mouth feel. We finish this coffee at a Medium roast.
A fruity, nuanced, washed Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. Hints of citrus. Anchored by a base of baked chocolate undertone. Crisp, clean, balanced.
Review: I made a delicious iced coffee as soon as I got the bag home. The description is apt and it feels like a treat without added sweetener or calories. Great coffee doesn't need syrups or extra flavorings, but if you like those give this a try.
The Ethiopia Yirgacheffe is one of our best coffees used for iced coffee.
As the weather gets hotter, keep hydrated with a cold drink. We received anew shipment of loose leaf teayesterday. Try brewing up a pot of tea and refrigerating it. Another method is to make sun tea. Fill up a pitcher of water, place it outside in a sunny spot and let a tea bag steep in it overnight. If you don't have anything to put loose leaf tea in try one of our T-Sacs. The #2 and #3 are perfect for pitchers of iced tea, while the #1 is the right size for a single cup of tea.
Looking for a different way to make iced coffee? Try this recipe, using our Ethiopia Yirgacheffe: Brew a 12-cup pot of Yirgacheffe. While it's still hot, add 1/4 cup demerara sugar, and one orange, sliced. Stir and chill. For a little extra, add a 1/4 cup of half and half and it'll taste like a coffee orange creamsickle.
Have a wonderful week!
