   It's always a treat to find a Federal mahogany banjo clock. They are an elegant form from the earliest 1800's. Mount Vernon is pictured on the lower tablet in an eglomise' panel. The brass movement is driven by a 12 pound iron weight. H. 35",w. 10", d. 3.75".  $1650.

    These are very hard to find if you need a real pair of George III Chippendale type 18th century library chairs.
All finished surfaces are mahogany including incurvate arms over square legs with recessed stretchers. Also called, in the period, "easy chairs " or lolling chairs", they are of generous size and comfortable. The fabric is an appropriate striped blend . H. 42",w. 28", d. 28".

   Just arrived,  a mahogany George III neoclassical rent or center table, early 1800's, has an embossed leather top in green. The top section rotates on the tripod base for convenience to reach the drawers, four of which work and four of which are for decoration. The base has a well turned shaft holding three sabre legs in a tripod fashion. H. 29.25", diameter 39". 



  A Chinese export chocolate pot and creamer, circa 1790 have a complex pattern of tendrils, diaper-work and medallions. restored handles. Pot, h. 7.75", creamer, h. 4.75". $360 the two.
