Chamber Notebook:
Lakeshore Community Foundation
In Frank Capra's 1946 classic film "It's A Wonderful Life," George Bailey's guardian angel shows him how he has, indeed, made a significant difference in his community of Bedford Falls.
Likewise, our area's growth and prosperity have long been enhanced by the many generous people who have given back to their communities, making a difference now, and for future generations.
Today, that old-fashioned value of wanting to leave your community a better place continues through the work of Lakeshore Community Foundation. At 915 Memorial Drive in Manitowoc, the foundation was created in 2009 to offer the people of the lakeshore area a simple, highly personal, and effective approach to charitable giving.

As such, the foundation receives, administers and distributes gifts from individuals and organizations for the long-term benefit of the lakeshore area, with a primary focus on Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties.
Rachel Wiegert, Executive Director of Lakeshore Community Foundation, interacts daily with people who truly care about their communities and want to give back - not only during their lifetime, but in perpetuity.

Every Sunday in the Herald Times Reporter, The Chamber of Manitowoc County features members in "The Chamber Notebook" located on the front page of the Business section. This exposure is just another value-added opportunity with your Chamber membership.

For available dates, call our office at 920.684.5575 or email [email protected] to schedule your Chamber Notebook article.
