Dear INWED Friends and Supporters,

On the eve of #INWED17 I wanted to write to you to thank you for your support and innovative ideas. With all the events and online activities planned by schools, colleges, universities, industry bodies, businesses, and individual engineers, we are sure that the day will be a huge success.
As you know, the aim of INWED is to have people all over the world celebrate the great achievements of women engineers and to encourage more girls and women to consider engineering as a career. With this year's theme being 'Men as Allies', the chance to raise the profile of women in engineering and allied sectors has never been stronger and there is still time to get involved in this year's celebration.
Why not attend an event near you? Listings can be found on our website . If you are hosting an event, please do email us with the details as we will include them on the event map in our final impact document. We would also love feedback from your events, including quotes, photographs, videos, or press cuttings/links. You can email your events and feedback to [email protected]
The Top 50 Women in Engineering under 35 (in partnership with the Telegraph) will also be announced in a special supplement on the day - an inspiring list!
There will also be plenty of activity across social media. You can follow the official Twitter account @INWED1919 and if you are posting about the day, don't forget to use the hasthtags #INWED17 and #MenAsAllies
There is still also time to download our Twibbon for Facebook and to sign up to our Thunderclap, which will simultaneously post across Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr, making a huge impact online. Links to download these can be found below.
Finally, I would like to say a personal thank you to all our INWED sponsors, without whom we would be unable to coordinate this fantastic day. Their support ensures that the Women's Engineering Society can coordinate and promote the awareness and profile of the achievements of women engineers across the globe! A full list of our s ponsors can be found below.
Good luck tomorrow,

Kirsten Bodley
