Fun Short Week For Cherry

After a nice break for the fourth of July we have had a relaxing two days at Cherry.  All of second grade went to Swope Park Pool. Third grade had a blast meeting up with their fourth grade friends at the Bay.  The zoomobile brought a snake, a parrot, and three cute, little frogs to teach the 1st graders about different kinds of animal skins and classifications.

Short Week Packed With Fun

Four weeks down and two to go... Wow! Our summer is flying by. Even though this is a short week we have rocked it out with ice cream sundaes and trips to the pool. Now that's how you beat the heat!

Please note that the construction barriers are now up. Please do not park or drop off your children near the parking lot exit. Please drop off your children on 69th street heading East.

Bon weekend!

Vive l'Amérique!Vivelamerique

Incoming 8 th grade students' work is currently on digital display at the  National WWI Museum and Memorial  as a part of the Vive l'Amérique exhibition. The exhibition showcases drawings by French students in 1917 of the American soldiers' arrival in France and is complemented by some of our own students' drawings in 2017. The exhibition is truly extraordinary and creates a unique connection with the French and American history as allies 100 years ago and today. The free exhibition is in the Ellis Gallery and runs through October 15. Check it out!
