WILCREST DRIVE ESPLANADE IMPROVEMENTS BEGIN IN JULY
Wilcrest esplanade
Westchase District motorists who use Wilcrest Drive will enjoy new improvements coming to this busy street.

Last week the Westchase District Board of Directors approved an $875,000 contract with Miranda Construction and a separate $500,000 contract with Earth First for landscaping and irrigation improvements on 16 esplanades along more than one mile of Wilcrest Drive from Westheimer Road north to Lakeside Place.

This is the first project outside the Westchase District boundaries to be completed under the District's 380 Area Agreement with the City of Houston.

 OFFICIALLY SUMMERTIME
The summer solstice (a.k.a. the longest day of 2017) was yesterday, marking the first day of summer. That means it's socially acceptable to have fresh fruit juice dribbling off your chin from delicious, locally-grown watermelons, peaches and berries! You can find all of them this week at the market.
 SHAPING UP THE MARKET
Motorists on Westheimer now will get a better look at our vendors, thanks to a new L-shaped configuration of the market in St. Cyril's parking lot. "We're moving things around to get some of our vendors out of the Texas summer sun," said market manager John Carey. "It also has the advantage of better visibility from the road. We'll see how it works."
Nothing says summer like some fresh, locally grown honeydew melons from PEAS Farm. Get to the market early this Thursday before they sell out!

SIGN UP FOR TRAILS WITHOUT TRASH EVENT JULY 22
Here at Westchase District, we don't like to engage in much trash talk...except when it comes to beautifying our trails. You can join employees from some of West Houston's top companies while picking up debris along one of the District's three trails. To sweeten the deal, we'll have free breakfast tacos from Moderno Tacos + Tex-Mex and free Westchase District swag.

To ensure we have enough swag for you, please RSVP by Friday, July 7 to Louis Jullien.
