Happy summer to you all. It's a hot one!
Your Advisory Board has been busy planning for the coming year. The purpose of this note is to inform you of the results of our theme survey as well as to share some timely information.
You voted for "Addressing Women's Health, Wellness and Justice" as our theme for 2017-18. We will look at this from several viewpoints:
- Support for adequate health care for women at all income levels
- Helping ensure access to preventive care
- Legal support
Our members made a good choice! I think a theme that focuses on women is an appropriate one for us as we celebrate our 15th anniversary year.
- Please mark your calendars now for the WIP Fall Luncheon, scheduled for Tuesday, October 10 at the Sea Pines Country Club. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. (networking and cash bar); lunch will be served at noon and end at 1:30 p.m. You will receive more information on this event as the time draws nearer.
- Another important event for this coming year is our celebration of our 15th anniversary. A special anniversary celebration, which will include spouses and guests, is planned for the evening of Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Sea Pines Country Club. We'll share more details on this special event with you soon.
- Our membership renewals have been coming in steadily. If you have not renewed your membership, please do so as soon as possible.
Lots of exciting things are happening this coming year.
