A Note from the Editor - Dr. Melissa Lockwood

Hello and welcome to the new 1st year residents! I am so excited for you all as you begin your 'next steps' within podiatry. This month, we are featuring a young member who has made a VERY big splash nationally - Dr. Dyane Tower!  I encourage you to read more about her journey following residency and how it led her to her current position with the APMA.  Please take a moment to view ABPM President Dr. Steve Goldman's testimony before Congress (and  Rep Brad Wenstrup - a podiatrist from Ohio!) regarding parity within the VA system for podiatrists.  This advocacy is one of the the many ways ABPM is working to move our profession forward.  Happy Summer and best of luck these first few months of your 'new year'!

Until next time,
Dr. Lockwood
