Student Ministry
Students fully participate in, and may assist at leading, the most important thing Christians do: worship. When not serving in service, students are encouraged to gather in the youth room to discuss the scriptures.
Middle and High School students at
St Stephen's are encouraged to serve the Lord as acolytes, ushers, and scripture readers at the 10 o'clock Eucharist. To volunteer yourself or your child for duties in any of these roles, please contact Elizabeth Gravely in the church office at  [email protected] or
put a note in the hands of
Father Ellsworth.

AND ONGOING INFORMATION

How do I become a member of St Stephen's?

SS Logo

Three things are required to be considered a  member of the church:

1. Declaring a desire to be a member.
3. Receiving communion at least three times in a year.

If you are not a member of a church, and you have worshiped with us three times or more in the past year, Fr Ellsworth invites you to become a member of St Stephen's. Please inform him of your desire to do so by contacting the Office Manager, Elizabeth Gravely at  [email protected].
The rector will welcome new members to the parish informally, with a dinner reception at the rectory, and liturgically, during the 10 o'clock Eucharist on the 5th of March.

If you have been a member of another Episcopal Church, or a church of another denomination, and wish to have your membership transferred to St Stephen's, email Elizabeth Gravely. She will help you request a letter of transfer.

You may wish to participate in our annual service of Confirmation. This is a way to be identified with the Episcopal Church as the Bishop presides at Confirmation. Confirmation will take place at St Stephen's on the 21st of May. Please email Elizabeth to notify Fr Ellsworth of your desire to be confirmed.

Choir
Do you read music (even a little bit) and like to sing? Are you interested in singing with the choir, but are not able to commit to regular rehearsals during the year? Well, here's your chance! Beginning this Sunday until August 6, we will have a "pick-up" group singing in the loft. All you need to do is show up at 9 AM on Sundays that you are here and John Hirten will give you the music for that morning's service. Then you will join some of the choir members who will also be there and sing at the service. If you have questions, please call John at 415-435-4501 x17.

Message from the Mission Trip

Mission Trip 2017
Good morning (Monday Morning)!

We had a good first work day at the Taos Restore organizing merchandise and loading up recycling materials. We spent our free time playing basketball and lots of cards. Last night we had some good sharing around the topic of encouragement and made "affirmation bags" so we can write notes of encouragement to each other throughout the week.

Please pray for Duncan, who was sick but is now on the mend and for Sutter, who is flying out to meet us today. Also, pray that the home inspections go through so we can work on the house today. Hopefully we will dig a little deeper each night as the group grows more comfortable.

The shot above is from the Restore.
