Update from the Executive Director

Embracing and coping with change as we age.

MCC's Board of Directors suggested this unifying theme in response to last December's Aging Well Survey data. Tangible programs within the areas of mindfulness; preventing falls/maintaining balance; improving/maintaining fitness; and managing/delaying chronic health conditions scored high on members' survey responses.

We were paying attention!  This week's inaugural summer meditation series, facilitated by members Joan Patterson and Linda Dolan, and Wednesday evening's Alzheimer's: The Basics and Beyond, presented by Kaitlyn Roburg from the Alzheimer's Foundation, are being offered in response to members' expressed interest.  Registration for Exploring Meditation is closed as it has been filled. However, space remains for the Alzheimer's presentation.  Register here.  Watch for future programming opportunities in response to survey feedback.

The July program calendar is now available. Give it a "look-see" and register now, as some events fill early! July Calendar

Summer solstice, also known as midsummer, marks the time when the sun reaches its northernmost point from the equator. I hope whatever plans you have to take advantage of tomorrow's longer daylight hours will be fun and memorable!

MILL CITY COMMONS: We learn. We share. We engage. We give.
