FEATURED EVENT: Valedictorian and Salutatorian Lunch
Congratulations to our 48 valedictorians and salutatorians! These top achievers have shown remarkable dedication to their studies over the past four years, but as we learned during our annual Val/Sal Luncheon on Friday, June 2, they have also been involved in many other activities throughout their high school experience. At the end of the luncheon, we asked each of them to share some words of wisdom that either had helped them along their journey or that they wish they'd had as they entered high school.

Bus Drivers Needed

HSD is in need of several bus drivers! These are 6-hour per day positions offering 75 percent of district insurance benefits (approximately $843/month), paid sick leave, two personal days, six holidays, and summers off. Optional summer work may be available. Must have a clean driving record. Paid training is provided, and all DMV costs associated with obtaining a commercial drivers' license (CDL) will be reimbursed upon successful completion of training. Available positions will be posted on the job openings page  of the website on Tuesday, June 6.

Hillsboro 2035 Celebration

With a theme of STEAMpunk, the event promises to be entertaining as well as informative.

C.A.T. Walk & Fun Run Registration Open

Positive Coaching Alliance

On Wednesday and Thursday, May 31 and June 1, more than 150 coaches from all four high schools and representing all types of performance-based activities participated in the Positive Coaching Alliance's (PCA) Goal Coach 1 training. PCA's mission is to assist and support coaches in fostering a positive culture that not only creates winning teams, but also builds the skills, mindsets, and attributes of young athletes that will last long after the scoreboard is turned off.

Order Next Year's Printing Now
Staff members are encouraged to submit their printing needs for the fall before they leave for the summer. This helps ensure materials are ready for you when you return in August and helps avoid the backlog that inevitably occurs in the Print Shop in the month of September. You can reorder jobs you've ordered in the past by going to the "orders" button in the online ordering site. To order out of next year's budget, change the "shipped by" date to Aug. 30 (or any date after July 1), and the job won't be run until the next budget year. Call or e-mail David Bryson (x1479) with questions.
