Ann K. Snyder Elementary hosted their annual food drive to collect donations for the Interfaith Food Pantry.
"At Snyder, we believe in giving and showing gratitude in all that we do. The students spent the week donating items to the food pantry, but they are also required to give the "gift of time." We recreated the Interfaith Food Pantry in one of our classrooms so that each child volunteers 30 minutes of service. They sort food, organize everything into boxes, and check expiration labels. It is important to us here at Snyder that the children not only learn the importance of giving to others, but to recognize the feeling of gratitude when they volunteer and "work" to help others." - Lindsay
Ardoin, Principal at Snyder Elementary
