From the Desk of the Social Worker

We are excited to announce a new partnership between World Compass Academy and AllHealth Network. AllHeath Network is a community based mental health center that has served our community for 60 years. We will have an AllHealth Network counselor at our school a couple of hours a week. The new counselor's name is Desiree McAllister, and she will be providing individual and group counseling to students in need of behavioral health services. Desiree will be working with students on challenges such as getting along with others and coping strategies for being successful at school and at home.

If you are interested in these services for your child, you may contact AllHealth at  303-730-8858. When you call, please state that you are calling to schedule an intake appointment, and that you were referred by World Compass Academy who has a site based therapist. You can opt to have Desiree complete the intake at World Compass Academy, or you can go to any of the AllHealth Campuses for an intake appointment. A parent needs to be present for the initial intake appointment, but does not need to be present for the student's ongoing counseling. AllHealth Network accepts Medicaid and most private insurances (including Kaiser, though additional paperwork is required to pay for these services). World Compass Academy cannot release your name or your child's name to AllHealth Network without your permission.

If you would like World Compass Academy to refer your child to AllHealth Network or if you have questions about the program, please contact  Lindsay Wonstolen, WCA School Social Worker. Please sign the  Release of Information Form and email it to  Mrs. Wonstolen if you would like your child's information to be released to AllHealth. Mrs. Wonstolen will then refer your child to Desiree who will reach out to initiate the intake process.

We are so excited about this opportunity at WCA and hope that families will utilize Desiree as a resource.

Sincerely,
Lindsay Wonstolen
WCA Social Worker
