Genesis Matters:
Five Moments in Genesis that Anticipate
Jesus Christ and Why Every Christian Should Know Them

TONIGHT
"The History Before History"
The first eleven chapters of Genesis include Creation, The Flood, and the Tower of Babel and are considered "pre-history" because we have no way of knowing when these events took place in time. All three stories involve specific themes that are realized in the flesh in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. Come see how these early stories play out in the life and ministry of Jesus.

New Meeting Time for Book Group!
After many years on Monday mornings, Book Group has a NEW meeting time:

Tuesdays 1:00-2:00, right before Centering Prayer (2:00-3:00.)

Now you can come for Book Group and stay for Centering Prayer! Currently we are reading An Altar in the World by priest, professor, and commentator Barbara Brown Taylor. It's not too late to join us for this terrific book. Our first meeting at the new time will be February 27.
Taizé Service-Sunday, February 25 at 5:30
If you are in need of an hour of quiet prayer and meditation, please join us for a time of grace and peace. This candlelit, contemplative service will include readings, prayers, and silence interspersed with tuneful chants accompanied by flute and keyboard.
Christ Church Will Host Family Promise Families March 11-18
Christ Church is preparing to host a new group of transitionally homeless families in Church House from Sunday, March 11 through Sunday, March 18.

This has become one of our most important outreach ministries. It's a unique opportunity for our parish to come together in support of families who are in crisis, struggling to keep their families together while they rebuild their lives and create a new future.

While they are with us, we provide our guest families safe shelter, healthy meals, companionship and fellowship. And we have learned that while they are here, we receive more than we give.

We need lots of help! Volunteering to help with Family Promise puts your faith into action. You can sign up as an individual or as a family - or team up with another parishioner.

We need volunteers for:
· Setup and Cleanup
· Preparing and Serving Evening Meals
· Evening Activities
· Overnight Hosting
· Fellowship and Hospitality
