Jerome K. Jerome was an English author best known for his comic masterpiece Three Men in a Boat. He had a number of occupations then including journalism and school teaching, and a number of disappointments with the rejections of many short stories and satires he wrote.

This collection covering a period 1888-1929  consists of 6 pieces of ephemeral and 21 books in total.

Smooth spine in  six  gilt-ruled compartments, gilt title on patterned gilt-ruled  contrasting   red leather label; leather is quite worn  with two small worm holes  near spine  end.  Front hinge cracked. Text block exhibits  light age-toning and  scattered  foxing with page 5 bottom edge tear 1 inch affecting text but readable. Missing one of two blank  f.f.e.'s, both  rear end papers are present.

Signed both sides 3-1/2 x 2 inches white card  plus 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 inch B&W photo.

Pierre Edouard Leclerc, CBE, MM, ED served in WWI with the engineers and the infantry, winning the Military Medal for bravery and a battlefield commission.
He later was promoted to Major General and command of the 7th Canadian Division, becoming the first francophone general to command a division in the Canadian Army
