National HIV Testing Day
For Immediate Release:
June 19, 2017
The Ryan White Program of Hudson Headwaters Health Network will be organizing an HIV/AIDS information tent/table at Crandall Public Library, Glen Street entrance, on Tuesday, June 27, 2017.

Literature and pamphlets about HIV/AIDS, PrEP and testing will be available along with Ryan White Program staff to answer questions and provide information.

Staff will also be offering free, rapid HIV testing in a private space in the library to anyone who would like to take advantage of the opportunity and join thousands of Americans across the country that will be checking their HIV status on this date.

The Ryan White Program uses a fourth generation rapid test to screen for possible HIV infection. A quick finger stick and twenty minutes are all it takes. Testing is free, confidential and we will have Golden Corral gift certificates for those who get tested at this event, while supplies last.

Nearly 3,000 people in New York become HIV infected each year. Join the many New Yorkers who will be testing and following NY Governor Cuomo's HIV End the Epidemic initiative. This year's National HIV Testing Day slogan is "Test Your Way. Do it Today." Get informed and get yourself tested.
