Sharon raised two sons and worked in the arts and education in Washington, DC. After earning a BFA in Design, minoring in Art History and Education at Howard University, she worked at the National Gallery of Art and the National Endowment for the Arts. Later, a Master's Degree in Library Science led to a rewarding career with the DC Public Schools.
