A Great First Week

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first week of Summer School 2017! We are especially excited to welcome our new incoming Kindergarteners. So far the first week has been going great and they are already starting to pick up on some new French words! This week they got the chance to check out the "Zoo Mobile" presentation put on by the Kansas City Zoo and were able to interact with many interesting mammals, such as hedgehogs and bunnies. Meanwhile, our 2nd graders were able to visit the Beanstalk Garden to learn more about plants, food production, insects, and nutrition. We are gearing up for an even more fun filled summer here at the Cherry Campus and we have lots of exciting trips planned to keep the kids busy all summer long!

Welcome To Oak

Welcome to summer school 2017! We are so excited to welcome the 4th graders to the Oak Campus. Summer school offers a time of reflection, growth, and preparation for the upcoming school year. We look forward to sharing these experiences with your child and having fun in the sun.

If your child would like to replicate the recipes tried in the cooking class at home, click here for the listThe theme this week was "breakfast". Students were encouraged to help make breakfast for the family this weekend. Next week we are making "traditional family recipes". If you want to send in any for our "cookbook", please email mhynes@academielafayette.org.

Bon weekend!

You can bring bags starting next Tuesday. Collection bins will be available at both campus.
