Mission Central earns Guidestar Gold designation
Mission Central recently earned the Gold-level GuideStar Nonprofit Profile participation level. This designation is a symbol of our dedication to transparency and accountability. It is presented by GuideStar, the world's largest source of nonprofit information.

In order to be awarded the Gold Seal of Transparency, Mission Central included basic contact information, financial information, and our goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress toward goals on the GuideStar website. We hope you'll visit our profile to learn more about how we're empowering our neighbors in need to improve their own quality of life.
Mobile Food Pantry helps relieve summer hunger
On the 2nd Friday of every month, Mission Central's volunteers share more than five tons of food with families in our community.

The program is especially important during the summer months, when children are home from school and electric bills soar. For many, the groceries received at the Mobile Food Pantry mean that families don't have to choose between daycare or air conditioning and having food on the table.

The program is a partnership between Mission Central, the Tarrant Area Food Bank, and the First United Methodist Church of Hurst. The Tarrant Area Food Bank recently described the event on their website. Click here to read their account of how this program supports our neighbors.

Volunteers are always needed at the Mobile Food Pantry. Contact Catherine Hollis at 817-595-0011 for more information.
