February is American Heart Month
The American Heart Association urges us to live well and live healthy by making healthy choices. Healthy choices don't have to be boring, and it does not require working out at the gym for multiple hours a day or eating kale at every meal. However, it does require us to incorporate healthy meals and activities into our daily routines. Click here for healthy eating tips.

Healthy activities
Socialization and engagement in life is as important as physical activity. It keeps our minds active and reduces stress - keys to positive and satisfying aging. Some examples include meeting a friend for a walk or a picnic in the park, participating in a book club, attending a class, enjoying a concert or theater production, volunteering, and more. Click here for a list of scheduled activities offered by Active Adult Programs & Services to get you engaged and energized.

Join us for Lunch Bunch

The View House is located at 2680 Main St. in downtown Littleton. Please click here to register so we can plan for the appropriate number of guests. Call 303-791-0430 for more information.

New Medicare cards
New Medicare cards will be issued beginning in April 2018 and will no longer include your Social Security number. A Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI) will replace your Social Security number. Cards will be mailed to your address on file, so be sure your contact information is up to date and accurate with the Social Security Administration (
www.ssa.gov ). It will take approximately 12 months to mail new cards to all Medicare beneficiaries.

Please note, Medicare will never request personal or private information, so be wary of anyone contacting you about the new card or MBI. And lastly, once you receive your new card, destroy the old card immediately.
