Critical Conversations: Identifying and Overcoming Implicit Bias in Classrooms

Thursday October 5, 1- 4pm

$50 Members

$65 Non-members

Join Dr. Dina C. Walker-DeVose, Assistant Professor in the School of Human Ecology at Georgia Southern University.

The beauty and strength of children is often overshadowed by societal stereotypes and deeply held biases of the professionals charged with their care and education. What are our biases? How do we identify them? Can we hold biases against people who look like us? How do biases impact our work with children? In this session participants will begin the work of uprooting their own biases and planting new seeds of strength, love, and support for all children.
