Fall Master Composter Meeting
Mark your calendars for the Fall Master Composter Meeting on Wednesday, September 6th at 5:30 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Board Room located at 717 W. Main Street (Corner of Main and Cooper).

Dustan Compton with the Tarrant Regional Water District will join us and speak on rainwater harvesting techniques including rain barrel making.  Please RSVP to let me know you plan to attend.
Mark your calendars for this year's Ecofest Arlington happening Saturday, October 21st from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
As always, we will need volunteers for the Master Composter booth, the children's area and volunteer check-in area. Please let me know if you're interested in volunteering for this family friendly eco-event!
Updates
It's only June, and the Arlington Master Composter program has already taught a total of 117 composting students this fiscal year thanks to our Master Composter workshop and our backyard composting classes.
Great job everyone!
Mark your calendars.  The Molly Hollar Wildscape is having their fall plant sale on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Randol Mill Park's Greenhouse.

Gearing up for Fall Leaf Collection
The Fall Leaf program will kick off this November 21st and go through February 21st. Arlington residents are encouraged to take their leaves to one of several drop off sites for recycling. As usual, we encourage our residents to mow over leaves or compost them first and foremost. The program gives residents another alternative to simply throwing the leaves into the landfill.  Check out last year's leaf PSA featuring our very own Master Composters, Stephen Ives and John Darling. The dates on the video will soon be updated to reflect the extended leaf recycling collection dates for 2017/2018.
