Eisenhower Award Gala Tickets on Sale Now!

The Eisenhower Award Dinner and Gala will be held on April 10, 2018, at the Army Navy Country Club (Arlington). This year's event honors General Larry O. Spencer, USAF (Ret), ICAF 1994. Retiring as a four-star general, Spencer spent more than 40 years in the Air Force. His last assignment was as the Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. Currently, Spencer is the Air Force Association's top executive, responsible for the management and operations of AFA, AFA Veteran Benefits Association, and the Air Force Memorial Foundation.
Invitations are being sent via email. The invite can also be accessed from our website. Regular tickets for the Gala are $200, Lifetime members are $125. Scholarship Application Available
Deadline for submissions is April 30, 2018
The application package for the Major General Joseph D. and Sue Brown Memorial Scholarship program are available now. This scholarship fund honors Eisenhower School's former Commandant, Major General Brown, and his wife Sue, and their commitment to lifelong learning. The scholarship was established after their tragic death in a plane crash while Brown was serving as Commandant of ICAF.
The scholarship areas of focus are: (1) STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math); (2) Music; and (3) Leadership, and reflect the passion of Major General Brown and Mrs. Brown.
These awards are made possible with the donations by the Eisenhower School Spouses' Club and proceeds generated from other sources, including the Association's various fundraising efforts, membership, and I-Mart student store proceeds. Proceeds from the Eisenhower Award Dinner and Gala will also benefit the scholarship fund.
The scholarship is open to children and the spouse of Lifetime members. Membership forms are available on our website. Download the scholarship documents below:

Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis announced that on 7 February, the president made the following nomination:
Marine Corps Brig. Gen. John M. Jansen has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Jansen is currently serving as the commandant, The Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, National Defense University, Washington, District of Columbia.

ICAF 2009, has been assigned to U.S. Embassy Brasilia as the head of the Environment, Science, Technology and Health Section. He will go to post in late September for a 2 and 1/2 year tour.

In Memoriam
Colonel Charles Pearcy, U.S. Army (Ret) passed away on 6 January 2018. "He developed great leaders here for 11 years and was the Chief of Staff of the Army Chair. He retired from here in 2010. His is a uniquely superb reputation and it is said that he greatly prized his time serving here,"
Eisenhower School Commandant BGEN John Jansen. Pearcy taught military strategy at ICAF and enjoyed leading Gettysburg staff rides. Rest in peace, Colonel Pearcy. Pearcy's full obituary can be read here.
