As much as we might not like to admit it (because of the added, and let's face it, not-very-fun work it causes) clear, written expectations help keep collaborations among teams with diverse interests running smoothly. We certainly recognize that when it comes to IEPs. The same is true in our work with stakeholder and partners. This week'sresource provides information on the "who", "what" and "how" of writing an effective Memorandum of Understanding.
Partnerships don't always need a full-fledged, legalese contract. A well written Memorandum of Understanding goes a long way in keeping collaboration on track. And, the time we spend doing so up front will spare us added meeting and development resources in the end because everyone will be clear on who is doing what, and how, from the get go.
