Unleashing Your Potential

We were lucky enough to have two of our current board members attend Unleashing Your Potential (UYP) this year in Chicago. UYP is a great way to develop leadership skills and network with other dental hygienists who are active on the national scene.  Not only did they learn about the inner-workings of the ADHA but they bought back a ton of information for how we can work better as a state organization. Check out their pics below! If you are interested in attending UYP, please contact a board member and we would be happy to help you get involved.

Semi-Annual Success

We wanted to take an opportunity to thank everyone who came and participated at our Semi-Annual event this year, held in Mitchell South Dakota. Even with the change in location and venue we had a great turn-out and had some hands-on fun! We appreciate your continued support in these events and look forward to next year. We are planning to move it back to Chamberlain next year, so save the date for September 29th, 2018. Thanks!

Legislative Chair
Carissa Regnerus, RDH

Greetings from your Legislative Chair!   The Legislative committee worked diligently on getting things in order for Lobby Day this year, but unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans and we weren't able to attend.   We are hoping to make next year an impactful one!   If you have ideas for Lobby Day or are interested in helping, please let us know.   Our lobbyist has kept us apprised of the developments with regard to the Interstate Compact for the Temporary Licensure of Professionals bill and opt-out going on in our state.   The association is in the process of formulating a response.   Please reach out to us or your legislators if you have strong opinions about temporary licensing for dental professionals.
