FORE!!  The O'Hara Open is tomorrow and we are in the midst of preparing for this great event. The annual auction is essential to our school as our largest fundraiser of the year. We are grateful for the many parents, families, volunteers and members of the outside community that have come together to help us with this wonderful event. We can't wait to celebrate with you.

We are excited to announce a new auctioneer this year! Chris Leach has years of experience with Catholic schools and other non-profits, and we are excited for the renewed enthusiasm he will bring to our event. Chris will be joined on stage by one of our own Alumni; Tyler Demers. Tyler will use his masterful wit to emcee the evening, helping Chris make the night enjoyable and successful for all.

We can't wait to see you all on Saturday, where we will raise our bid cards high and make O'Hara Open the  the most successful auction yet!

Please read below for information about our Buy-In Packages & Teacher Packages, Raise the Paddle appeals, and our complete Live Auction Package Preview.

2018 RAISE THE PADDLE | SCHOLARSHIP + ART ROOM
One of the most important parts of O'Hara's auction is our Raise the Paddle appeals. These appeals are a vital part of our fundraising efforts because they give our school the ability to maintain and upgrade various aspects of our operations. Our 2018 auction appeals will be: Scholarships and Art Room Remodel.

SCHOLARSHIP
Last year, O'Hara granted over $180,000 in tuition assistance to families seeking a Catholic education for their children. It is our desire that no family should be denied the opportunity of an O'Hara education due to a lack of financial resources. The need for scholarship has doubled over the past five years, so your support is more important than ever.

ART ROOM REMODEL
At O'Hara we are proud that our curriculum extends beyond math, science and reading, and incorporates music, Spanish, physical education and art. These essential subjects provide our students with an education beyond the textbook to further enrich them and their studies. Many of you know the current art room is the former boys locker room from when O'Hara was a high school. Our art teachers, Mrs. Fulton and Mrs. Scott have turned this space into a usable classroom, but there is more we can do.

With your help, our plans are to create a  larger classroom space that has both maximum efficiency and functionality. We will develop a flexible and modulated classroom that is safe for Pre-K through 8th grade students and includes designated space for instruction as well as hands-on studio space. We will remove the old showers and create dedicated clean-up and sink space, storage space, and perform deferred maintenance to the infrastructure of that classroom area. We will also use this opportunity to reconfigure the teaching and storage space in the PE office. Click HERE to view an architect's rendering of the remodel project.

Please accept our deepest gratitude for considering a donation to these appeals. Your gift of Catholic Education will go far beyond these walls and help build a better future.
