- For first graders and older: It's the time of year for us to retell the story of Purim, while honoring the age-old tradition of being utterly ridiculous...and witness the clergy as their true and absurd selves. We will also read, and misread, the Megillah.

Join the full Temple Israel clergy for a reading of the whole Megillah, irreverently read through the lens of our annual "Purim Against Humanity" card game. Bring your favorite libation and dessert to enhance the celebration! Bring your friends and leave your dignity at the door.

This class is appropriate for first time parents or as a refresher course for second (or third!)
time parents, also perfect as a supplemental course if you have taken or plan to take another birthing class.
Co-taught by Certified Nurse-Midwife Sarah Kleinman and Rabbi Matt Soffer. The whole series costs $180/couple for members and $225 for non-members; and includes dinner and materials.

| "How Awesome Is This Place" Exhibit 4 |
| We are excited that "rotation four" of our exhibit, "Mah Norah Ha-Makom -Ha-zeh!" or "How Awesome is this Place!" is now on display in the Wyner Museum. The title comes from the Biblical passage in Genesis when the patriarch, Jacob, awakes from his dream of a ladder ascending to heaven. He recognizes the sacred nature of that location and says, "Mah Norah Ha-Makom Ha-zeh!" With this statement, we want to lift up how amazing and wonderful Temple Israel is for all of us. We hope you'll stop by to learn from and be moved by the stories of fellow congregants. |
