2017 Ambassador of the Year
Carol Pompa
The Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Carol Pompa has been named Ambassador of the Year for 2017. Carol takes her role as Chamber Ambassador to heart, serving as a mentor and welcoming new Chamber members to the family with dedication and passion. You can regularly find Carol helping members celebrate their milestones and achievements at ribbon cutting ceremonies and other events throughout Volusia and Flagler counties. Carol has chaired the Ambassador Committee since 2016 and has also chaired the Daytona Regional Chamber's New Smyrna Beach "Regional Business Connector" group for 2 years.
Carol is the co-owner and director of sales for the East Coast Current, a free monthly publication focusing on Volusia County's music, events, arts and news. ECC is celebrating their 3-year anniversary this month.

New members join us from 4:00-5:00 pm for Chamber 101.
Cost:
$10 for Chamber members with 24-hour advanced registration, $15 day of event, $35 non-members. New Member Chamber 101 is free.

Join us with Preston Root for a workshop on Development. Preston Root is president of the Root Family Board of Directors for a 114 year old company, a recognized public speaker on family enterprise challenges and is the great grandson of C.J. Root who founded Root Glass Company in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1901. Root Glass Company designed, patented and manufactured the original 6 and 1/2 ounce Coca-Cola bottle in 1916. He has served on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Volusia County, Museum of Arts and Sciences of Daytona Beach and The Arc of Volusia and Flagler Counties. In 2010, Preston was named "Top Volunteer in the State of Florida" by The Arc.
Cost:
Free for nonprofit Chamber members.
