Made to Glorify 2016 - 2017

During this morning's assembly, we worshiped God and Celebrated MCS Students for their many accomplishments during 2016-2017 followed by yearbook signing.

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name goes all the glory for Your unfailing love and faithfulness."
Psalm 115:1

MCS Raised $22,500 for Gulu this Year!
A special thank you to everyone who made it to our final MCS Dine Out event of the year! What a great way to close out the school year in celebration of all that God has done both at MCS and in Gulu. With Pizza Press' generous donation of 20% given back for every Mariners' order, we raised $544!

Our students and families have rallied together this year, again answering the call to help our brothers and sisters in Gulu as needs arise at Christ the Center Ministries! Earlier this year we raised and sent $10,000 to finish the Chapel/Community Center at CTCM, as well as another $6,000 to provide for 8th grade teachers so the 8th graders could attend school. Since the beginning of April, we have raised another $7,500 to go toward a school bus for our friends in Gulu, so that they won't have to walk miles per day in the heat to and from school. We are so thankful for the bond that God established between MCS and Gulu, and we look forward to seeing how he will use this in the future of all of these students!

4th Grade Arcade Games
As a final STEM project, 4th grade students designed, planned, and created working arcade games out of cardboard this week. The project culminated with a day to play the games and 1st grade and administration joined in the fun!

The Sound of MCS
The Sound of MCS
The MCS Promo project was initiated by Mr Pax Pulido after seeing an opportunity for collaboration with Middle School Band, Orchestra and Tech Arts. Students from band and orchestra submitted melody ideas for a possible promo song back in early winter. Two students had their works selected (Chloe Kim and Eszter Cowell). The melodies were orchestrated and rehearsed and the music students took an afternoon to record the pieces. The tech team made a video archive of the recording process. Mr Pulido then provided his editing skills and created the following MCS Promo Video.
