Excited about Our Top 20 Grants Finalists!
The past five months have been a busy and exciting time for Women's Impact Fund (WIF) Grants Committee members. The season began in September with research to uncover and understand the issues affecting our community. Next, they reviewed 120 Letters of Inquiry and selected 20 applicants to submit Requests for Proposal (RFPs). Site visits are wrapping up now and in mid-March the full Grants Committee will meet to select the finalists for the full membership vote in April.

- Amy Jacobs became Executive Director of SHARE Charlotte effective February 1.
- Kelly Brooks, founder of SHARE Charlotte Founder, is expanding on the success in Charlotte by taking it to other cities through Share Good, a software company she created. She will remain involved with SHARE Charlotte but act as the CEO of Share Good.
- Melissa Hovey became Marketing Director of SHARE Charlotte
- Mary Gallivan, past WIF Board Chair, has joined Tech Talent South, leading the sales/admissions/student success team covering 11 cities across the country.
- Susan Harden has launched her campaign to become a Mecklenburg County Commissioner for District 5.
- Chris Ahearn is the new CEO of Our Towns Habitat for Humanity in North Mecklenburg and Iredell Counties.
