Children's Ministry:
We will have children's program during the Wednesday night teaching series February 21-March 21. Dinner will be served for all children in the nursery. After dinner, children kindergarten - 5th grade will participate in a short devotional and games or crafts.

Fourth Annual Women's Retreat
|
|
Mark your calendars for March 9-10, 2018 there will be a Women's Retreat Weekend held at Christ Church. Friday, March 9, 2018 from 6-9 p.m., Snacks and Fun. Saturday, March 10, 2018 beginning at 9 a.m. with light breakfast and coffee. We will have lunch and end with Eucharist at 2 p.m.

Foyer Groups are being formed and will be starting up soon. For newcomers, or anyone not familiar with Foyer Groups - it is like a supper club. The groups will meet every other month (six times a year) in a different member's home, or a restaurant, or even the parish hall. This is a great way for newcomers to meet fellow parishioners, and for all to meet those who attend services at other times. It is open to singles and couples, young and old (adults only). Sign-up sheets are in the Parish Hall. For more information contact Tammy Borders.

Stitchers of Love will meet this Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall. You do not have to know how to knit or crochet, we have plenty of teachers. All are welcome.

| DR 2018 Team - A New Member |
Our 2018 mission team has a new member - Mary Jeannette Pringle de Quezada, the wife of the Rt. Rev. Moisés Quezada, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Repbulic. Jeannette is a professional seamstress who designs and makes clothing and other household items such as shower curtains and tablecloths, and when she learned about our project to teach sewing classes at the Episcopal conference center in El Pedregal, she asked if she could join our team and help teach those classes. We will be using the four sewing machines we donated to the conference center three years ago for those classes. For more information on our June 23-30 mission trip, please click here.
While our team leaders Julia and Julius Ariail were in the Dominican Republic last week, they participated in the dedication of an ambulance that had been donated by an Episcopal Church in North Carolina to the community of Baní, a city about an hour west of Santo Domingo. The Dominican Development Group, a consortium of the Episcopal dioceses that support mission teams in the Dominican Republic, coordinated the logistics for the purchase and transport of this albulance.
