One to Feel Better

Greetings!

I get it… time is hard to come by and when those sweet five minutes of freedom arrive you're left with your phone or tv and the scrolling begins. Is there a better choice that would leave you feeling refreshed and more present?

By making that better choice we are likely replacing a bad one. So pick ONE thing you want to do for yourself tomorrow. Just one. Then do it. Look ahead and schedule one thing into your week that will help you feel better.

PREVENTION happens one little choice at a time. We take care of ourselves now to prevent hardship later. This newsletter has a few ideas for you to try. Wellness is not one size fits all; so buzz me if you want to feel good more often. I'm here to help you.

One to Invigorate

Walk, Hike or Bike to get some fresh air and vitamin N. Let the wind sweep away your tension and nature's beauty inspire you to practice presence. Join me for a Hike & Yoga this weekend to learn more ways to take yoga off the mat and into your day.

One for Where You Are
Bee (Brahmari) Breath calms anxiety and helps clear the mind. Give it a try...
  1. Sit comfortably with a tall spine and relaxed shoulders.
  2. Close your eyes as long as closing them doesn’t produce more anxiety.
  3. With your mouth closed, inhale through your nose.
  4. Exhale making the "mmmmm" sound like you are humming.
  5. Sustain the sound until you need to inhale.
  6. Repeat.
One for Your Mind & Body
Yoga Off the Mat
No need to limit your practice to on the mat. Use a bench, stump, table or desk to bring movement to your body. Cat and Cow poses stretch the lower spine, hips, back and core muscles. By opening your chest and lungs you free your breath. Practicing Cat and Cow poses helps your posture and increases spinal flexibility.
