| The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC), a 77-year-old human rights organization grounded in UU values, advances human rights in three intersecting areas: Economic Justice, Environmental Justice & Climate Action, and Rights at Risk. Guided by the principle that local organizations should lead efforts to defend human rights and create sustainable models for change within their own communities, UUSC supports grassroots organizations in over 25 countries around the world, including the United States. UUCP's Share-the-plate contributions would support UUSC's three program areas, as well as research and advocacy that supplements direct humanitarian support. |

80's Babies Small Group (Formally the Young Adult Group)

The "80s Babies" (formerly the Young Adults Small Group) is a place for those of us born in the 80s (70s and 90s babies also welcome) to come together and talk about issues important to us. We are an open group, providing a safe space to share ideas, challenge each other respectfully, and connect with one another. Feel free to join us for one or both of our two meetings a month:
- Second Tuesday of the month at 6:45 PM in Annex C,and
- Fourth Sunday of the month after second service (or the only service, depending on the schedule), when we'll gather at the back of the Sanctuary and then head off-site for food and conversation.

Life can feel like a frenzied struggle against a materialistic world, which leaves us feeling disconnected from our deepest selves and without the energy to reach out in love and service to others. They follow the monthly worship themes and offer a way to engage the themes in your daily life and grow and learn with a group while sharing your own story, insights and learnings. This month, we will do an immigration 101 teach-in, including several short films and movie clips. Maria Castro and Ernesto Lopez from Puente will give updates on the current realities for immigrants in US, plus an overview of the immigration justice movements.

New Green Sanctuary Group

| All people interested in honoring, preserving, and restoring the earth and supporting campaigns for environmental justice are invited to attend an introductory meeting for a UUCP Green Sanctuary group. We will be crafting our statement of purpose at this organizational meeting, and brainstorming activities we might like to engage in and/or projects we might like to undertake. | Come join fellow UU's at UUCP for a few events that are happening at General Assembly in New Orleans, Louisiana.
On Thursday, June 22 at 6:00 PM we will be live streaming the Service of the Living Tradition. The Ministries and Faith Development Staff Group invites you to join us at this service where we honor fellowshipped and credentialed religious leaders, remember those who have died, recognize those who have completed active service, and welcome those who have received fellowship or credentialed status in the past year. |

will host a live screening of the last candidate forum before the UUA Presidential election on June 24. The UUA General Assembly will elect a new UUA president on June 24. Three candidates are running for one six-year term: the Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray (susanfrederickgray.com), the Rev. Alison Miller (alisonforuuapresident.org), and the Rev. Jeanne Pupke (jeannepupke.com).

we will livestream the General Assembly Ware Lecturer, Bryan Stevenson. Bryan Stevenson is the founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama. Mr. Stevenson is a widely acclaimed public interest lawyer who has dedicated his career to helping the poor, the incarcerated and the condemned. Under his leadership, EJI has won major legal challenges eliminating excessive and unfair sentencing, exonerating innocent death row prisoners, confronting abuse of the incarcerated and the mentally ill and aiding children prosecuted as adults.

The Children's Art Exhibit consists of contributions
from Desert View Learning Center (Kindergarten through Fourth grade) and the Early Education Cooperative Preschool (ages 2 -5).
Sonja Saar, who teaches art at DVLC, is dedicated to drawing out the artist within every child. The EEC encourages art expressions which are developmentally
appropriate and enhance a child's creativity.
