Congratulations to the newly elected members of the Student Council for the 2017-2018 school year. Thank you to all of the students who ran for Student Council. There were many good candidates!

TRACK & FIELD
Congratulations!
Congratulations to the Track & Field Team on their District 1 Championship. The team members are: Kambi Walker, Ciani Kensey, Marissa Ryan, Erin Gilsenan, Sophia Mahoney, Cianni Harris, Taylor Thomas, Sophia Barnett and
Cara Hughes.
The girls had an outstanding day that started with Sophia Barnett winning long jump and Sophia Mahoney taking the gold in triple jump. Sophia Barnett also came home with gold in the 100 meter hurdles.
All 3 of the teams relays gave it their all. The 4x800 relay team consisting of Taylor Thomas, Cara Hughes, Sophia Mahoney, and Ciani Kensey took the gold, as well as the 4x100 with Kambi Walker, Sophia Mahoney, Erin Gilsenan and Sophia Barnett. The 4x400 relay also came in first with Ciani Kensi, Ciani Harris, Sophia Mahoney, and Taylor Thomas. Each of these girls and relays have qualified for the State Championship this weekend at Shippensburg University.

CRADLE OF HOPE
20th Anniversary Celebration
Five SBA students volunteered time, energy and enthusiasm to make this organization's event a success by entertaining the children with games and crafts. Cradle of Hope is a local outreach which assists mothers and children with housing and support services.

PHYSICS CARNIVAL
Students connect Science with fun!
SBA Physics classes hosted a Physics carnival on Wednesday. There were games of chance for all to play based on a Physics concept. Students explained how their game connects to Physics.

Congratulations!
Congratulations go out to Natalie Kucowski, who was named as an Esmark High School All-American. This is a National Honor and the culmination of what was a great and special year for Natalie. We are proud of you and wish you the best at Lafayette!

Seniors received academic, extra- curricular, arts & athletic awards this morning at the Senior Recognition ceremony. Following the distribution of awards, all seniors were then inducted into the SBA Alumnae Association. Below are pictures of the girls as they enjoyed their senior breakfast.

Updates
The Drama Club will travel to NYC next year to see Dear Evan Hansen. There are a limited number of tickets available for Drama club members. Personalized Blankets
The school store is taking orders for SBA personalized embroidered blankets. One corner of the blanket will have our School Shield. Another corner will have your daughter's first and last name, and "Class of 2017." The price is $35.00
