Mr. McNeany's Letter

Dear Guerin Catholic Family,

It is hard to believe that another school year is coming to an end.  There are so many memories made in just ten months!  I always enjoy reflecting on my memories from the year.  I continue to marvel at what a great group of young people we are blessed with.  Here are my highlights of the year as I think back on the thirteenth year that Guerin Catholic has opened its doors with a mission of transforming souls and enlightening minds.

hHolocaust Tour - Summer 2018
"The most deadly poison of our times is indifference.  And this happens although the praise of God should know no limits.  Let us strive, therefore, to praise Him to the greatest extent of our powers." --Maximillian Kolbe

It's not too late to take advantage of an amazing opportunity to experience history in a way you've never experienced it before. The Holocaust Tour will include many moving historical sites that will help you see the world from a different perspective.
The Holocaust Tour in the summer of 2018 is a beautiful way to help dispel the clouds of indifference. Find out more about this trip by contacting Marcia Murphy at [email protected]. Check out the link (www.eftours.com/1796938ey) for an overview of the trip.

This trip is sponsored by EF Tours and not by Guerin Catholic High School.  Guerin Catholic has given permission for EF Tours to advertise this trip to our community but does not assume any responsibility and/or liability for those that choose to participate.

The 2017-2018 textbook list provides students with a listing of every class that will be offered at Guerin Catholic next school year and the books that are required for each class. It is very important that students have their  textbooks the first day of the trimester so that they can actively participate and complete work on time.
On GC Gateway, families will also find a textbook guide for parents with various options for selling current  textbooks and buying books for next year.  Please note that the Guerin Catholic online  bookstore offers every  book that will be used next year, including several online and rental options.

June 6, 6 p.m.

French Catholic Students visiting GC - Host Family Opportunity
Come and find out more at the Inquiry Meeting on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 6:00pm in the School office Conference Room.  Students are matched by age and gender. Fall dates when the students will be visiting GC are  Oct 14 - Nov 11, 2017.

Former Guerin Catholic host testimony:
It was a blessing for our family to have the opportunity to meet and get to know Andreas.  The experience of hosting a student from France exceeded all of our expectations.  We were surprised at how quickly we bonded and became friends.  We had laughs over language misunderstandings and found it very interesting to hear what is different and what is similar to his life in France.  It was a very enjoyable and memorable time for our entire family. I highly recommend hosting a student from France because it helps you to grow, learn, and make connections that you would not otherwise make.
Please contact Kerin Buntin today to discuss the
French Catholic host family opportunity.
