Administrative Appointments
Boise, ID  -- (06/12/2017) --  Boise School District is pleased to announce the following administrative appointments, effective the start of the 2017-18 school year:


Pamela Dietz - Assistant Principal, Grace Jordan and Riverside Elementary Schools

Pamela Dietz has served public school students in Idaho since 2005. During her 12 year public school career, Ms. Dietz has worked as an education paraprofessional (Borah High School - 2005-06), Social Studies Instructor (Eagle High School - 2006-07 and Borah High School - 2007-14), and K-12 District Integration Specialist (2014 to present).

Ms. Dietz is a knowledgeable education professional who has served on a number of committees and in leadership positions, including Leadership Team (Borah High), U.S. History 11 Textbook Adoption Team, Look 2 Learning Site Team Member, PLC 4 Real Site Team Member, World Class Instructional Design English Language Teacher Cohort, Positive Behavior Interventions and Support - Idaho Positive Behavior Network (Boise State University), and Boise State Writing Project Fellow and Leader.

Ms. Dietz is dedicated to the Boise School District's Vision of preparing students for success in college, career and in citizenship. She is a strong advocate for each and every student and works well with all stakeholders, including students, parents, staff members and community members. Ms. Dietz is a passionate educator focused on providing excellent education opportunities for each and every student.

Ms. Dietz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science from Lewis-Clark State College, Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Boise State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho.


Trevor McKenna - Assistant Principal, Boise High School 

Trevor McKenna has served students in Idaho since 2008. During his public school career, Mr. McKenna has served students in a variety of capacities, including working as Lead Teacher for a hybrid alternative school that he helped plan and launch, Special Education/Extended Algebra 1 Teacher (Idaho Virtual Academy - 2008-13), Special Education Teacher/Extended School Year Consulting Teacher (Mountain View High - 2013-14), Special Education Teacher (Les Bois Jr. High - 2014-16), Assistant Principal, Alternative Summer High School (Boise School District - 2016 to present), and Special Education Teacher (Fairmont Jr. High - 2016 to present). Mr. McKenna has also served on the Boise District's Junior High PLC committee, the District Calendar committee, the Special Education Compliance Team and he also has experience coaching football, basketball and track.

Mr. McKenna cultivates a school culture of trust and accountability among students, staff and families. He advocates for the success of all students and works collaboratively with all stakeholders to see that students have every opportunity to succeed academically and socially. He works well with staff members to see that they have the resources, support and feedback necessary to succeed. Mr. McKenna is dedicated to the Boise School District's Vision of preparing each and every student for success in college, career and in life.

Mr. McKenna earned his Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Boise State University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Boise State University.


Jake Wimer - Assistant Principal, Timberline High School

Jake Wimer has served public school students in Idaho since 2001. During his career, Mr. Wimer has held a number of positions, including coach (elementary basketball, varsity assistant track coach, varsity football assistant coach, varsity basketball assistant, co-head track coach) P.E./Health/Fitness Teacher (Middleton High, 2002-04), P.E./Athletic Fitness Teacher (Boise High - 2004 to present), Summer School Instructor (2002 - 2014), Summer School Site Coordinator (Whitney - 2011), Traditional Summer School Assistant Principal (Borah 2015), and Traditional Summer School Principal (Borah 2016, and West Jr. High 2017).

Mr. Wimer has also served on various District and school-level committees, including Instructional Leadership Team, Committee to rewrite District Athletic Fitness End-of-Course Assessments, P.E. Department Head (Boise High - 2008 to present), Leadership Team, Emergency Response Team, and Instructional Leadership Team. Mr. Wimer is a dedicated education professional who works collaboratively to establish a positive and supportive school culture of success for all students. He is committed to carrying out the District's Vision of preparing students for success in college, career and in life.

Mr. Wimer earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from University of Idaho and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho.
