Just Announced! USHJA Emerging Jumper Rider Program; Applications Reopen for Zone Jumper Team Championships |
The USHJA Emerging Jumper Rider Program was created to identify the next generation of international Show Jumping talent in the United States. The program will allow the U.S. to identify and provide education and guidance to riders competing at the 1.10m-1.35m levels, as well as to their trainers and parents.
Using the new
USHJA Zone Jumper Team Championships to identify riders who have the skill and desire to excel in the sport, the Emerging Jumper Rider Program aims to educate riders to become well-rounded horsemen on their path to excellence.
Educational Orientation Sessions for Riders, Trainers and Parents
Special orientation sessions will be held at each Championship where riders, parents and trainers will receive comprehensive information about the Jumping Athlete Pathway, and how riders can advance through the sport to the highest levels. Additionally, every Championship competitor will be recognized as a 2017 Emerging Jumper Rider, and each individual medalist will be named a 2017 Gold Star Emerging Jumper Rider and will be invited, along with their trainers and parents to attend a Gold Star Clinic.
Applications Reopened for Zone Jumper Team Championships
To allow for maximum participation in the first year of this exciting opportunity, the USHJA has reopened the application period and extended the 20 point minimum requirement for the USHJA Zone Jumper Team Championships in Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10.
