Uxbridge Toastmasters Club
At the Uxbridge Networking lunch in April, our member Kris Nelson gave a talk on effectively develop communication and leadership skills through Toastmasters. The talk was very well received and the idea of establishing a Toastmasters Club in Uxbridge began to flourish. We received favorable responses through our online survey.  25 people responded to the online survey in April and an overwhelming 71% of the respondents had chosen "Morning" as their preference for Toastmasters Club meeting and many have expressed their interest in assisting to start a Toastmasters Club in Uxbridge.

The first club meeting will be held in late June. Please include your e-mail address on the online survey if you would like to receive updates on the Uxbridge Toastmasters Club.

Kris Nelson has held many roles and currently serves as President of two Toastmasters clubs, VP Membership for another, and as an area director for North Durham and Kawartha, as well as mentoring a growing club in Oshawa.

Toastmasters is an international non-profit organization which supports the development of speaking and leadership skills for individuals.  It's a positive and productive environment in which to gain confidence speaking in public, dealing with unexpected presentation opportunities large or small, managing a business or board meeting, or providing feedback to staff, peers and even family.  For more information, check out the website www.toastmasters.org.
