Don't Wait. Vaccinate!
Pennsylvania school immunization regulations are changing, beginning August 2017. It is important for parents and guardians to be aware of these changes and take action as needed to ensure your child can be enrolled in and attend school in August 2017.
A child must have the required, medically-appropriate vaccines OR a plan in place to complete them OR risk exclusion from school. Our school nurses are working to notify families impacted by the changes to these laws. Contact your child's school nurse for more information.

A Fond Farewell to 2016-17
AND A WARM WILDCAT WELCOME TO 2017-18
Enjoy a restful summer! We look forward to a challenging, exciting 2017-18 school year when classes resume Thursday, August 24th, for all students.
An Opening Day Convocation for faculty and staff will be held Monday, August 21st, at Dallastown Area High School, and an Introduction to High School for freshman will be held Wednesday, August 23rd, from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (details will be mailed during the summer).

Summer Office Hours

All school offices and the district administrative office will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with Friday hours by appointment.

DAHS Class of 2017
COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES
Commencement exercises for the Dallastown Area High School Class of 2017 will be held at 6:45 p.m., Friday, June 2nd, on the American Legion Field in Wildcat Stadium, weather permitting.
Should weather circumstances dictate a change in location, ceremonies will be held in the high school gymnasium, with overflow arranged in various campus locations. Gymnasium admission
will be by ticket only. Guests without tickets are invited to view the ceremony via live video feed, which will be simulcast in other areas of the building.
Be sure to allow extra time for arrival to the secondary campus due to the high volume of traffic.

DAEF Grants
The Dallastown Area Educational Foundation recently awarded the following EITC grants:
- Vex Robotics to Chad Bumstead, principal, Dallastown Area Middle School
- Virtual Expeditions to Aaron Flay, 6th grade teacher, Dallastown Area Intermediate School
And DAEF Opportunity Grants were awarded as follows:
- STEM Enhancement, Mrs. Wettig, Mrs. Buer, Mrs. Walsh, Mrs. Ribblett, Mrs. Deardorff, kindergarten teachers, Loganville-Springfield Elementary
- Wobbles chairs, Mrs. Doutrich, 4th grade teacher, Dallastown Area Intermediate

ENVIROTHON
Out of 73 competing teams in the recent York County Envirothon, results for Dallastown Area School District are as follows:

2nd - Dallastown Area Intermediate Radiant Raccoons
3rd - Ore Valley Elementary Heroic Hemlocks
5th - Loganville-Springfield Elementary Stinging Bees
7th - Dallastown Area Intermediate Outstanding Otters
9th - Leaders Heights Elementary Spunky Skunks
10th - Ore Valley Elementary White-Tailed Wonders
Dallastown Area Intermediate School also collected two awards in the creative hat competition!
Congratulations to all students participating in Envirothon as they learn about Pennsylvania's environment!
3-D PRINTER DESIGN CHALLENGE
Five Dallastown Area Intermediate School teams recently participated in a regional Innovative Design Series Challenge placing first, second, third, fifth, and seventh out of 10 competing teams.
