Change of Date: Big Sky Transportation Study Public Meeting

Camp Big Sky Expands

After record-breaking enrollment for the last two years—and increasingly long waitlists—the Big Sky Community Organization has purchased a second yurt to accommodate up to 40 campers a day in the community’s only summer long, full-day, five day a week summer camp. The move will not only allow an additional ten campers to enroll daily, but will also provide spaces for campers to participate in different group activities simultaneously, and to divide the camp occasionally according to age groups.

Camp Big Sky is now in its 11th year and serves children entering first through entering fifth grade. Camp begins the first Monday following the last week of school—this year, that’s June 19th—through the week before school begins, ending August, 25th.

Enrollment for the program has opened online at https://bscomt.org/camp-big-sky/ and parents and visitors with childcare needs for specific camps are encouraged to enroll early as even with the additional spaces some days and weeks are already filling.

Generous donations from individuals to the Big Sky Community Organization in addition to the Yellowstone Club Community Foundation, Moonlight Community Foundation and some reserve funds from Camp Big Sky programs have funded the construction of the yurt.
