ISSUE 22| June  2017
Welcome...
Hello everyone,
Welcome to the June edition of Balance, my very first newsletter as General Manager of GLNC.
In this edition we continue our focus on trendy vs traditional grains, with guest writer Toni Franklin looking at the effect of different grains on sports performance. With some high profile athletes experiencing proclaimed success eating gluten free grains, people are obviously interested to know if a change will work for them. We also look at a fascinating new area of research: the effect of carbohydrates on fertility.
Over the last few months we've seen a growing interest in high fibre grain foods and their benefits on the microbiome. Stay tuned for our next few editions of Balance as we explore this exciting new area of nutrition knowledge.
As always, for the latest news and resources please  visit our website  and join us on social media - we're now on Instagram too so follow us for delicious recipes and healthy tips! Simply search @GrainsLegumesNC.
Best wishes!
