Reflections on a Journey:
Rabbi David Meyer & Rev. Dr. Dennis Calhoun

Our Vision Statement
Old North Church is an inclusive Christian Community called to bring to life God's love and grace by sharing the gospel for this time and place; extending the hospitality Christ showed; embodying God's love and compassion to those in need; and growing together in our understanding and experience of the Holy Spirit at work in our midst.
Temple Emanu-El/Old North Church Annual Pulpit Exchange
This weekend we will continue a half-century old tradition of worshipping with our friends at Temple Emanu-El. On Friday evening, Rev. Calhoun will be speaking from the bima at the service to welcome the Sabbath. The service begins at 6 pm at Temple Emanu-El. Then, on Sunday, Rabbi Meyer will be our pulpit guest at both the 8 and 10 am services. Rabbi Meyer and Rev. Calhoun will be sharing their reflections of their recent trip to Israel and the West Bank with members of both congregations. We hope you will join us both Friday AND Sunday!
Church Council - Tonight!
The Church Council will gather for the last meeting of the year tonight, Thursday, June 8th at 7:30 in the Great Room.
Boston Pride Parade - June 10th
The Boston Pride Parade and Festival is Saturday, June 10th. Old North, as an Open and Affirming congregation (ONA), has been participating in the Parade as part of the Mass Conference ONA Churches group, and we are looking for participants for this year's march. Please let Sue Benua ([email protected]) know if you would like to join this happy band! Thanks!
UCC NE Conference Annual Meeting
If you are interested in attending the annual meeting of the New England Conferences of the United Church of Christ in Hartford Ct on June 16-17, please call the office at 781-631-1244 or email [email protected].  We are hoping to arrange transportation for a church member who does not drive.
Old North Church Father's Day
Cookout!
The Men's Group is pleased to announce an old-fashioned pig-roast and picnic for the whole church family on Sunday, June 18, after 10 AM worship service. We'll gather on the church parking lot. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. (If it rains, we'll gather in the Parish Hall.)

What a wonderful way to celebrate Father's Day. Everyone is welcome!  Chief chefs are fathers Kevin Hayden and David Kay, with scores of other men adding to the feast! The suggested donation is $20/family, $15/person, children under 12 eat free!

We need an idea of how many to plan for, so PLEASE rsvp (right now!) by clicking on the email link: [email protected] , giving us your name, contact info and how many of you will be attending. (If you don't use email, you can call the office at 781-631-1244.)

Hope to see you there!
Summer Volunteer Musicians Needed
The Music Committee is looking for volunteers to provide prelude and postlude music for the 10 AM summer services beginning Sunday, June 25th through Sunday, September 4th. Volunteers of any age/instrument are encouraged to share their musical offerings to enhance summer worship in the sanctuary.  Please contact Pam Roberts at [email protected] if you can help or would like to recommend someone. Your musical talent is a much appreciated contribution to our church program!
Lighthouse Services Begin June 25th!
Beginning Sunday, June 25th, the 8am worship service will be held at the Marblehead Lighthouse, at Chandler Hovey Park.  In the event of rain, the service will be held in the Sanctuary.  The 10am service will continue to be held in the Sanctuary through Labor Day weekend.
