Summer is in full swing at CJ with campers in the building and renovations of Building 3 beginning. This time also serves as a summer break for our guidance counselors, who will return on Wednesday, Aug. 16.

Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. through June preparing for the 2017-2018 school year. During these times, students needing to complete a work permit should call the guidance office first to make sure someone will be available to complete the process. Students should make sure to complete all steps for the work permit before processing.
The student must be present to sign the completed work permit before CJ can issue it. More information can be found on our website.
Camps will continue next week with football and volleyball beginning Monday, June. 12. A full listing of summer camps can be found on the CJ website. Walk-on registration is available for most camps.
The 2017 CJ Reunion will be here soon. We are in need of volunteers to help on Friday, Jun. 23 at the Golf Outing and at the Taste of CJ.

Several AP and Honors classes require summer work. All summer work may be found on the CJ website. Be sure to pay attention to the deadlines listed in the work.
Easterling Studios extended the free sitting session for the CJ Class of 2018 through August. These pictures are used for the yearbook and senior class composite. More details can be foundhere.
The Greater Dayton RTA offers a youth summer passport program where students will have unlimited travel options from June 1 through August 31 for $55. Learn more on the RTA website here.
Kettering Sister Cities welcomes students in July for the 41st Annual Youth Exchange. Events during their stay include a tour of the Kettering police station, Kettering Sister Cities' dinner at Polen Farm, a Dayton Dragons game, and a Dayton bike tour. Students and hosts will also receive Kings Island and Kettering Water Park passes. Families with high school students who are interested in hosting should contact Emily Zimmer.
Be a part of the new Riverscape location for the GermanFest picnic, Aug. 11-13! Volunteers, ages 13 and up, are needed to work one of the two fun new soda/water beverage carts during the picnic or working the beverage station under the food tent. We are in need of four people each shift to work the beverage carts, one person each shift to work the food tent and one runner to help restock the locations.
