Keeping you up to date on the many ways Beverly Bootstraps provides critical resources to families and individuals so they may achieve self-sufficiency.
So much more than just help with homework

Our After-School Homework Club offers so much more than just help with homework. It provides children with a place to go to after school instead of home to an empty house, a place where there are positive adult role models that they can connect with and a place where they can be exposed to new activities and experiences.

Last month, one of our volunteers taught the students how to draw faces by splitting a face into quadrants and placing the features in the correct places. Aren't their works of art wonderful?

This week, we had a Family Togetherness Night to celebrate the end of the school year. At the event, designed to have  students, parents/guardians and siblings come to Beverly Bootstraps to spend quality time together, we gave out books for summer reading, had dinner, and celebrated three 8th graders who were "graduating" out of our program. Congratulations to them as they move on to their high school years!
