A Message from The Rev. Becky |
It is with mixed emotions, both joy and loss, that I announce that I have accepted the call to serve as Lower School Chaplain at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School in Atlanta, Georgia. My work there will include worship leadership, teaching, and pastoral care with 400 elementary students at the largest Episcopal day school in the country. I will be sad to leave Trinity, Stuart Hall, and the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia that sent me to seminary and where I was ordained to the diaconate and the priesthood. I am grateful for the mentorship of Father Paul and the support of friends and family in Virginia, as well as the love, grace, and patience of those whom I have served over the last year. My official last day at Trinity will be June 30th, and my last Sunday will be July 2nd. Soon thereafter, the girls and I will begin our journey south, where they will live close to their father and enjoy the adventures of living in a city. --The Rev. Becky McDaniel

June 11, 2017: Gerryrigged! Turning Democracy on Its Head |
A special FREE screening of this 55 minute PBS/WCVE (Richmond) Documentary in the Foster Room at 5pm followed by Q&A with Dan Grogan and Caroline Sheridan of OneVirginia2021 for updates on legislative and litigation developments and the road ahead in our multi partisan effort to reform our system that now has our politicians choosing their voters rather than the other way around. Since 2014 the number of Virginians supporting the efforts for fair redistricting has increased to nearly 50,000. As the 2020 census approaches we need your participation to continue to grow this movement and bring about reform. It is a multi-partisan approach, that includes all citizens regardless of affiliation. OneVirginia2021 believes that state and congressional districts belong to the citizens of our Commonwealth, and not to any legislator, political party or special interest.
