Something to Talk About...Levy Updates

The passing of the operating levy in November 2015 has allowed the district to balance its budget and has provided the opportunity to implement additional programming across the district while reducing class sizes in several elementary classrooms this year.

For some families, summer vacation represents an ideal time to pursue interests, study music, go to camp, tackle creative projects, or take educational trips. However, not all children have access to enriching activities during the summer months.

Team Takes 1st Place in Milk Carton Boat Race
Big Lake High School science teacher, Adam Pelot, along with eight students, Taavan Mielke, Collin Suitter, Raina Marsolek, Korty Atkinson, Kamryn Robarge, Tanner Burton, Trinity Betke, and Ben Norgren, competed, for the first time, in the milk carton boat race. The race was held during the annual physics trip to Valleyfair on May 17.

Congratulations Students of Excellence
The 30th Annual Award and Recognition Ceremony for Students of Excellence was held on April 26, 2017 in St. Cloud.
Big Lake had four recipients this year: Rachel Adams, Riley Bergstrom, Laurin T. Ebert, and Justina Zou.
