Finding transportation solutions for Tahoe
Photo: peterspain.com
It's shoulder season in Tahoe, that brief time between the busy winter and summer seasons. Soon enough, we'll welcome summer visitors back, which is great for the region's economy. But summer also brings traffic, and last winter's record snowfall and record-breaking traffic jams are still on everyone's minds. The League is in the thick of efforts to identify transportation solutions for Tahoe. In recent weeks, our team has reviewed thousands of pages of transportation planning documents. Finding solutions requires a solid understanding of the problem; our policy experts are participating in a special task force to examine best practices from around the country for measuring traffic impacts.

This summer, we hope to see pilot projects on the ground testing transportation solutions for Tahoe. Stay tuned, and start tuning up those bikes.

Thank you for all that you do.
