Question: Is Judaism a religion, a nationality or a race?
Answer: Judaism is definitely NOT a race; there are white Jews, black Jews, Asian Jews etc. Unlike Christianity, Judaism is NOT simply a religion. It is BOTH a religion and a nationality, a people. When a Jew by Choice joins us, they join the Jewish religion AND the Jewish People.
This is a Weekly Column where Rabbi Feldman will answer any question you might have relating to Judaism. Please email your questions to office@bethelwpb.com

TBE Sisterhood Mitzvah Project
|
"Our Temple Beth El Sisterhood's Mitzvah Project was a great success. The donations that were dropped off at the Temple, and picked up by the Lord's Place staff, were greatly appreciated by their clients who received them. We share a common mission: to make a difference. Yasher Koach to all who donated."

Mazel Tov to our May Congregants of the Month!
|
The Blancas immigrated from Argentina in 2002. Their son, Martin, is currently in the 8th grade at Meyer Academy. This year Martin was selected as Youth of the Year by the Men's Club. He loves to play soccer. Their daughter, Juliana, is a junior at Wellington High School. Juliana is active in the student government and will found the first Jewish club at Wellington High School next year. She attended her 2nd AIPAC conference this year. Jackie is currently working as a dental hygienist and loves spending her time with family and friends. Rafi works at his own company called "West Palm Green" where he does maintenance and landscaping. He is currently President of the Temple Beth El Men's Club and works tirelessly for the benefit of the temple. The entire Blanca family supports and actively participates in as many temple activities as time permits. We are happy to have the Blancas as part of our temple family.
MAZEL TOV RAFAEL & JACKIE!
