Several weeks ago I wrote a
blog post that really hit the mark for many women. I heard from many readers asking for this same type of information for men. So in honor of Men's Health Week and Father's Day, I hope this information finds its way to all of the special men in our lives.
If you're like my husband, you get a lot of health tips from your wife, mom, coworkers, and friends. Some of them are scientific, while others are just general healthy living tips that someone read in a magazine or heard on a talk show: exercise, get more sleep, get a flu shot, get a colonoscopy, don't smoke, watch your cholesterol, wear sunscreen, check your blood pressure...the list goes on.

California's single-payer health plan's annual price tag: $400 billion

SACRAMENTO >> The annual price tag for California's proposed universal single-payer health care system would be a staggering $400 billion, according to a state Senate Appropriations Committee report released Monday.
While existing federal, state and local funding would amount to about $200 billion to offset part of the total cost, the report said, Californians would be on the hook for around $200 billion in additional tax revenues to make up the balance.

Airbus engineers working at a lab in San Jose say they've designed a flying car that they'd like to begin testing by the end of the year.
The company's A3 (pronounced "A cubed") division this week published a concept video of a single-seater, eight-rotor aircraft called Vahana. The craft is all-electric and self-flying, outfitted with cameras, radar and LiDAR sensors, designed to maneuver around birds, airplanes and other drones.
